How We Met:
Jane and I met at the Taste of Houston charity fundraiser in March of 2005.  We enjoyed many adventures (including sky diving, sailing lessons, and dance lessons) for approximately 1.5 years before I couldn't take it anymore - I had to make it official!

The Proposal
Late one evening, on Lake LBJ in Texas Hill Country, Jane and Eric viewed a spectacular meteor shower on a clear and cold night (November 18, 2006).  At the end of the meteor shower, Eric pulled down another “star” (the ring) and asked Jane to be his wife.  With tears in her eyes, she said yes.  As luck would have it, this is the one time that Jane agreed to totally “unplug” so there was no cell phone coverage or a computer.  The next morning they went into to town to share the news with their families and friends.
